  Strange situation

  hi folks,.

  the rank and file is now in a strange situation.. it is clear that the jw leadership is in for a huge change.

  the type / anti type change makes clear that they make a u-turn.. it's clear that with this changes the current doctrine are temporary.

  BluePill2, I agree with your ex-wife. She gets it. "I'm in for Jehovah...I don't care what the Org or the GB does."

  She understands that the most important thing is OUR PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH JEHOVAH. What other humans do doesn't matter. It's their problem.

  how many times did we hear that if we dont attend meetings we will leave the truth because satan will get ahold of us?

  that always bothered me.

  i thought, "if my faith isn't able to stand alone what good is it?

  What exactly do the Governing body(TM) do?

  a genuine question really.. do they actually make desicions or are they simple sock puppets for the lawyers?.

  are they just a front (like the queen is in the uk), with little or no desicion making input?.

  do they just give talks and make appearances?.

  I think a better question would be what DON'T they do? They are 7 men trying to spiritually feed 8 million people. No one is carrying a heavier load than they are.

  What will you do to celebrate Oct 2 2014?

  like most people reading this, i was convinced that by 2014 the new system would 'definitely' have been operating for at least a decade.

  now that i know this is not going to be the case i am going to have to think of some way to recognise 100 years of wts let downs and failed predictions.

  there is no point fretting over the past so i think it will be a good time to celebrate.

  JW's and depression

  i was wondering how many of you suffered badly with depression when you were in "the truth" and if you feel your depression was related to being part of the organisation?

  are you better now you have left or still have issue's?

  whatever your experience's i would be very intrested to know (if you feel you can talk about it.).

  I was severely depressed BEFORE I became one of JW's. Being a JW has mitigated my depression. I now have a hope for the future that I never had before.

  Where Are You on The Witno Scale?

  1 - still think it's the truth ...came to this site cause danger is your middle name.. 2 - concerned, smoething's amiss but still believe.

  3 - 98% sure it's bs, but still go for / with family.

  4 - anger / denial, inactive with minimal attendance (ie memorial, spec talk etc).

  poll, why would you hide it your buisness/job

  how many people on here who were or are jws, owned or ran a buisness who would not willingly let people at the k hall know, maybe to avoid feeling like you had to give your fellow brothers and sisters a discount, or free help, or out of fear of being judged.

  did you only help out the pioneers?

  and not the poor ones?
